Traded along with Dee Fondy in October of 1950 to the Chicago Cubs for Hank Edwards and cash. While playing for the old PCL Los Angeles Angeles in 1951 and 1952, a Cub minor league franchise at the time, Chuck started taking bit parts in movies. The rest is history.
